Can I chain SATA hard disks on a single MB connection?

I have an Asus P5N-e MB with 4xSATA connectors. I am thinking of putting a raid array on the system with 4 x hard disks. Problem is that I only have one free MB SATA connection so how could this be achieved?

SATA stands for Serial ATA. Chaining SATA will be then Parallel ATA (IDE). It is not possible to chain SATA devices

What kind of RAID are you thinking about ?
Chaining disks will decrease your RAID performances.
