An early version of Counter-Strike was 1.5, then came 1.6 which is still rather popular, and quite inexpensive. There's a popular commercial mod. for it out called Gary's Mod. Counter-Strike was the multiplayer version of Half Life. However, to play Counter-Strike you don't need Half Life. Here's some info on the actual gameplay: Counter-Strike is an FPS, and the objective of the game is to either eliminate the other team completely or win by completing the objective. There are two teams, the terrorists, and the counter-terrorists. There are sub classes within these teams. You can buy weapons as you get points for completing either the objectives or killing players on the enemy team. There various types of weapons, from dual pistols to sniping rifles. There are also various mods. for all versions of Counter-Strike, aside from Gary's mod., Gun Game is another popular one. The more kills you get, the better of a weapon you get. Overall, Counter-Strike is a good multiplayer game at a reasonable price tag. The old versions cost under $20, while Source is a bit more than that, but it's worth it. It has superior graphics as well as plenty of mods. to keep gameplay interesting.

How can i make my guy run faster in counter strike source?

Hi, I have counter strike source and everytime i play i run rather slowly (no im not pushing shift) once people go past me i notice they run a lot faster than me which usually leaves me behind. The rest of the game runs perfectly except the occational fps drop. also i run with the knife or pistol, so im pretty sure its not that.

You do in fact run faster with knife/pistol, if you run with Weapons like m4/machine gun/awp you will be slower than a person running with knife...

Bunny hopping helps in achieving speed, but is only good if you can successfully do it, it takes practice tho.

BTW its not a "guy" that you are playing, its actully just you, its a first person shooter

Students call European strike
VIENNA - AUSTRIAN and French student networks called on Monday for a strike in European universities this week, when ministers from 44 countries will gather to discuss higher education reforms.
