How legal is it for me to open an EBay consignment shop in Tennessee?

I'm wanting to open a consignment shop where people can bring me their items and I'll sell it for them on Ebay and cut them a check later. I've been looking up articles to see how legal it is for me to do this just off a business license. I came across one article that stated I might need an auctioneer's license.
