The obvious one is the SASR. Most applicants come from one of the regular infantry battalions, though anyone currently fully qualified in the ADF may apply. Selection is roughly 3 weeks, followed by 18 months of training.

The Commando Regiments aren't exactly lesser units - they have different roles to the SASR and tend to be more overt. Going down the Commando pipeline can take a whole year, and a lot of Reserve Commando trainees can take three years before they're fully qualified.
