What is a free software I can download for Mac that has similar functionality to Microsoft Paint?

I recently switched from PC to Mac, and it's not that I was totally attached to Paint, but my mac didn't come with any software that would allow me to fill a background, or erase an unwanted line, etc. Suggestions?

Go to the Apple website, www.Apple.com, find the Downloads page and look for a program called Paintbrush. It's free, and it's like Microsoft Paint and the ancient and venerable MacPaint. (It's from a third party, but since it's available on the Apple website, you know it's legit.)
