Can sealed fruit cups go bad?

I have several pre-packaged air sealed fruit cups, containing pine-apple with the standard syrup preservatives and what not. However, I have no idea how long I've had them. It's late, the store is closed, and I'm in the mood to snack. Eating these, a good idea or no?
I've eaten one, tastes slightly over-ripe. On to the next one then.

There should be an expiration stamped on the side or bottom of the container..:-}
