Does anyone have any hands on activities ideas for a discipline workshop for parents?

I'm doing a project for class and I need a hands on activity for the workshop on preschool discipline and can't think of anything. I'm totally stuck. My audience are students pretending to be parents so any ideas? I would GREATLY appreciate it!!! Thanks.

Ask several of the "parents" to be preschoolers with discipline problems. Do some role play about things that happen in preschools. Give them scripts to describe the behaviors. then you, the "teacher" can show ways to help resolve the problems. Also choose someone to be your aide.

Some examples would be :

Children fighting over a toy. (If I didn't see who had it first, I would put the toy in time-out.) It worked quite well, If I saw who had it first, I would give the toy to that child and try to get the other child interested in another toy. If he/she continued to fight for the toy, he/she would need to go to the cooperation chair until he/she felt like he/she could join the group without causing trouble. If it happens again the child would need to sit until a timer set to as many minutes as his/her age rang. An aide can manage the cooperation chair and guiding the child to a different toy after he/she is ready to cooperate.

Children misbehaving during a story. After a warning you may send them to the cooperation chair. They need to stay there until they think they can be quiet. If they come back and continue misbehaving, they will need to go back, but this time there will be a timer set for as many minutes as their ages. An aide can help with this as in the example above.

There are many other ideas you can use in a similar manner.
I believe the child should never be shamed or treated in an unprofessional way. Be kind, but firm. Try to catch him /her doing something good later, and praise him/her.
