If I recall from reading The Lost World book, it makes several references to the Jurassic Park movie.

"The Lost World" by Michael Crichton is a sequel to the book "Jurassic Park." In an interview with Michael Crichton talking about the movie "The Lost World," he stated that when the sequel was announced, he told Speilberg to do whatever he wanted for the movie and Crichton would do what he wanted with the novel.
